We have already addressed the idea that passing under pressure is difficult. Taking that a step further: if you can finish under pressure then that makes you so much more of a complete player.
Water polo is not as complicated as people make it out to be- it is a basic game of “keep away” by training to absorb or fight the idea of being foul. Athletes should be taught to keep the ball “live”.
So many athletes are taught to take the foul when in reality they should try to never be fouled. Imagine if fouling you is that difficult? This will make you so hard to guard but more importantly you will be able to make quicker passes, shoot when you want and turn your player (since they are giving everything just to foul you). This is how you train.
